How This Affects Existing Students
The affect that these changes will have on you as an existing students will be dependant on how far through your studies you are. If you are less than half way through you will have two options.
If You Have Completed Less Than 50% of Course
If you have completed less than 50% of the course by the end of 2014 then you have 2 options:
Option 1 – Transfer into the reaccredited course
You will receive Advanced Standing for the units you have completed and be transferred into the course offered from 2015. Under the regulations of the reaccredited course the maximum time allowed for completion is eight years. The time remaining for continuing students transferring will be proportionate to the number of credit points already completed.
Option 2 – Completion by the end of Semester 2 2016
Please note if you choose not to enrol over the next two years then your candidature will cease and you will need to reapply for admission into the course offered from 2015. Please note any units completed more than ten years ago will not be eligible for Advanced Standing.
If You Have Completed More Than 50% of Course
If you have completed more than 50% of the course by the end of 2014 then you will need to complete the course by the end of Semester 2 2016. If you believe you will not be able to complete the course by the end of Semester 2 2016 please contact the registrar urgently.
