Apply now for RPL or Advanced Standing
We are moving to towards a policy where students will need to apply for Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL) and Advanced Standing (AS) upon initial application into their course.
So, existing students that believe they may be eligible for either RPL or AS and have not already applied need to do so as soon as possible.
Advanced Standing (AS) explained
Students may be eligible for Advanced Standing (AS) when they have completed units from another accredited postgraduate award (this award can not be part of the prerequisite requirements for entry e.g. BEd). Credit is transferred from the previous award and granted to the student’s current course. No AS will be granted for work completed more than 10 years prior to the AS application.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) explained
Students may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) when they have previous professional experience or non-accredited learning that can be documented and which demonstrates equivalence with a unit of study. No RPL will be granted for work completed more than 10 years prior to the RPL application.
